The hot-drop, hammer-forged one-piece German 1.4116 stainless steel blade is heat treated to 57–58 HRC and finished with a three-step 15° Elite edge, hand stropped for exceptional cutting performance. With a triple-rivet, full-exposed tang handle and a bolsterless heel for easy honing and sharpening, it’s also great for soft-skinned fruits and vegetables.

Its serrated edge grabs the surface quickly, helping you slice bread, rolls, and pastries with less squashing and fewer crumbs. It also works exceptionally well on delicate foods like tomatoes, citrus, and soft-skinned fruit where a clean, controlled cut is key.
Forged in Solingen, Germany, this one-piece, hot-drop hammer-forged knife is crafted from German 1.4116 stainless steel alloy for strength, toughness, and stain resistance. Heat treated and cooled to 57–58 HRC, the steel is engineered to handle everyday kitchen stress without being overly fragile, while remaining easy to maintain and re-sharpen when needed.
The 1.4116 alloy is also valued for excellent corrosion resistance thanks to its high chromium content, helping it resist rust, oxidation, and staining in busy kitchens. Its moderate hardness makes it responsive to regular maintenance, and the three-step 15° Elite edge is hand stropped on a cloth wheel to deliver a crisp, razor-sharp feel at the serrations for dependable slicing performance over time.
The Meridian Elite series features classic triple-rivet, full-exposed tang construction for durability and a secure, comfortable grip. A bolsterless heel lets you use the entire cutting length from heel to tip and simplifies honing and sharpening tasks, keeping the knife efficient for everyday baking and produce work.
Care instructions:
Hand wash with warm water and a mild detergent, then rinse and dry immediately to protect the edge and finish.
Do not place in the dishwasher, and avoid cleaners containing bleach or citrus extracts. Store safely in a block, sheath, or on a magnetic rack to protect the serrated edge.
