Shapton Lapping Disc 0505 – Whetstone Dressing Disc

The Shapton Lapping Disc 0505 refreshes clogged sharpening-stone surfaces, helping restore their cutting performance. It is a compact maintenance accessory for removing the thin layer of residue that builds up during sharpening.

Compatibility and Working Surfaces
Use on sharpening stones rated 2000 grit or coarser. Both faces are usable: one is flat, while the other has two grooves and gives a slightly finer finish. For restoring a dished stone to a flat plane, use a suitable lapping plate.

How to Use
Wet the disc and the entire stone surface. Work across the stone in small circles with light pressure; advance soaking of the disc is unnecessary. A brief dressing is enough to expose a fresh surface. Rinse away the residue after use.
